TRAPS NIGHT WITH THE AIR HOGS
We’re happy to announce that TRAPS is partnering with the Grand Prairie Air Hogs, Grand Prairie’s minor league baseball team, to host a “TRAPS NIGHT WITH THE AIR HOGS” on Friday, August 27th at Quik Trip Park in Grand Prairie. This is a new fund-raiser for TRAPS, with proceeds going to Professional/Student Scholarships and Special Projects for TRAPS’ 75th Anniversary in 2012. This is a tremendous opportunity to involve your City’s employees, your citizens and participants, your City Council and Parks and Recreation Boards and to highlight parks and recreation throughout the game
Tickets are ONLY $5.00 each. Our GOAL is to sell at least 3,000! Attached is a ticket voucher order form. We can consign 100-200 General Admission ticket vouchers to you so that you can sell them throughout your City. The ticket vouchers may be exchanged for reserved seats at the Air Hogs Ticket Office on the August 27th Game Day ONLY. We can block a good section of seats for your City if you have a minimum sale of 100 tickets. Also, there will be an opportunity to bid on the several of the suites. We hope to fill the stadium with our parks and recreation staff and participants. Even if you cannot attend them game please consider making a donation of $5 or more for the cause.
Activities will include: Pre-Game Social - $10.00 per person Pre-game Ceremonies with First Pitches by TRAPS President Monica Walsh and TRAPS Executive Director, Michal Anne Lord; National Anthem sung by Denton PARD Director, Emerson Vorel; games between innings between TRAPS Region 2 and 3 members. Team with most points will receive an “Annual Traveling Trophy” and other prizes. The HUGE video screen will show continuous videos from metroplex parks and recreation departments, Gold Medal Winners, facts about the “benefits of P & R” and a special Memorial Tribute for our friend and former TRAPS/TAAF leader, Susan Gerred and other special fund-raising games throughout the night.

We will mail back to you: a packet with your consignment of ticket vouchers (PLEASE ORDER A MINIMUM OF 200 TICKETS TO SELL-YOU CAN DO IT!) black and white and color flyers to reproduce to publicize your ticket sales; a flyer & info about Pre-Game Social; info about the details of the event and ideas for selling tickets and a “Ticket/Revenue Return Form” to send back with ticket sale money and any unsold tickets (PLEASE SELL EVERY TICKET!) THE MONEY FROM SOLD TICKETS MUST BE RETURNED TO SUSAN EAVES BY AUGUST 16. Make all checks payable to TRAPS, a 501 © 3 non-profit organization.
This Game will be a GREAT opportunity to raise funds for TRAPS’ 75th Anniversary Celebration and for scholarships. Please select the BEST SALES PERSON in your department to take the LEAD for your City.
